A day without a blog is like a day without a rambling, pointless narrative posted on a website.
And that website is SomethingSoWrong.Com. While not attracting the visitors that we did in our heyday (as opposed to Hay Day, which is a bovine holiday celebrated on the first Monday in November), we still have a loyal crowd of visitors. I hope. At least it seems like we do...we get a lot of hits. Mostly. And we have some future projects in the works, such as a new book project that's a humorous look at dating. And getting laid. And whatnot.
But more importantly, it's that time of the year when we're called upon by Network Solutions to renew our domain. For the last couple of years...SSW will be three years old in a couple of weeks...I have personally fronted these costs, as well as our monthly hosting fees. It adds up. It might not sound like a lot, but SSW costs me around $300/year, which is money that could be spent elsewhere, such as on alcohol or hookers. And sure, that's less than a dollar a day, but I don't run this website for my own personal pleasure...I run it for you, our readers. If you have ever used the forums, then you've participated in this community. And maybe you should think about giving something back. Like beer. Or poon. Or money. Especially money. So far, we've resisted the temptation to run ads and will continue to do so, but we need some extra cash to make SSW hum, just like a callgirl. So, if you take a second and glance to the right of your screen, right above the archives and right below the link to the Moblog (which you should really check out), you'll find a nifty Donate button that links to Paypal. Go there and whip out your credit card and drop some cash on SomethingSoWrong. We deserve it. We'll be your best friend. We'll give you a handjob. Or not.
